Dave Wyncott
A native of Northern Indiana, Dr. David Wyncott graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Sociology. He then completed the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program at Johns Hopkins University before attending The George Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wyncott then returned to Indiana to complete residency in Family Medicine at Saint Joseph Health System. In his third year he served as Chief Resident and was chosen by the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians to receive their statewide Outstanding Resident Award. A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, he joined the faculty of the residency program in 2013, where he is the chair of the Program Evaluation Committee and serves on the recruiting and curriculum committees. He has particular interests in underserved medicine, family centered obstetrics, resident education, and educational research. He is active in the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He directs curriculum for the core didactic educational conferences, night float, and loves teaching.
Dr. Wyncott enjoys cooking, exercise, and all things Notre Dame. Dave and his husband Andrew live in South Bend with their three dogs.
