RN to BSN Scholarships

At Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS), along with Trinity Health, we are committed to increasing the percentage of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) staff. The SJHS Scholarship Program for Registered Nurse (RN) to BSN will help build a stronger nursing workforce resulting in better quality/patient safety, RN retention, patient satisfaction and colleague engagement.

The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding nurses who wish to further their nursing education by completing their RN to BSN degree.

Eligibility

The award is competitive and is granted to selected colleagues who meet the following criteria:

• Show evidence of acceptance in an accredited nursing program leading to a BSN completion degree
• Are a full or part-time colleague
• Successfully completed the initial 90-day evaluation and have no current corrective action
• Have evidence of recommendation without reservation from current manager
• Must continue to practice for at least three years following graduation at SJHS or pay back the scholarship in full
