Dr. Michele Collins is originally from the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and the Program of Liberal Studies. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She initially began her career training in Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center, but discovered that her true passion resided within Family Medicine. She then moved to Indiana to complete a residency in Family Medicine at SJHS. During her third year of training, she served as Chief Resident of the program. She is excited to be a part of the faculty at SJHS as she has a strong interest in teaching. Her professional interests include dermatology, pediatrics, women’s health and mental health. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching movies, and applying her fund of useless information to win team trivia.
