Descriptions of funds for SJHS Plymouth Medical Center

Provide financial assistance to our colleagues facing unforeseen and unpreventable circumstances. These funds are essential to ensure staff are able to remain dedicated to providing care to those who need us most. Gifts to this fund provide assistance including housing, medical expenses, utilities and other basic living expenses.

Fund Community Health Worker outreach services. Support health education activities for the community such as a food pantry, senior exercise classes, health fairs and other implementation strategies identified by the Community Health Needs Assessment

Provide training and learning opportunities so SJHS can continue to be a professional destination for leading nursing practice.

Provide financial support to cover educational expenses for employees who are committed to providing healthcare services within Saint Joseph Health System through this fund established in 1989.

Allow us to provide healthcare services "on the go" to communities in St. Joseph, Marshall and surrounding counties through our MMU, which reaches out to both urban and rural areas where it’s convenient for patients. Services include digital mammography, health screenings and corporate wellness programs.

Support women who experience breast cancer and need compassion and understanding while navigating their treatment plan. This special nurse navigator provides education, emotional support and guidance. This service is not covered under insurance programs.

Support this primary care practice in Plymouth that offers an array of family medicine, prenatal and obstetrical care to medically under-served residents of Marshall County.

Help address the most-pressing healthcare needs in our community. Funds are unrestricted and support a diverse range of important healthcare projects such as purchasing state-of-the-art equipment and technology, making renovation projects possible and supporting community projects.

Fund this endowment that promotes excellence in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease. The fund was established in 1989 by the late Frances Macdonough Van Fleit, wife of the late William Edmund Van Fleit, MD.
