Community Health Needs Assessment 2021
Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) is proud to share with you the results of our 2021 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).
Conducted every three years, the research evaluates, through a survey, the overall health status of the greater Michiana region, identifies the most pressing health-related needs and prioritizes services relating to such needs.
The findings from this year’s research study highlighted five areas of significant concern by community participants:
-
Access to mental healthcare
-
Improve nutrition and eating habits
-
Access to wellness resources (fresh foods, nutrition classes, gyms, etc.)
-
Access/affordability of medication
-
Increase participation in physical activities and exercise programs
We are fortunate to have community partners who are equally committed to improving the quality of life for all. Here at SJHS, we will continue to do whatever it takes to build a stronger, healthier Michiana.
