Point-of-Care Scanning

In 2011, we added “point-of-care scanning” capabilities. With wristband bar coding, we can now match patients directly to their medications. So our nurses and pharmacists can be sure that medicines are being given properly.

Bar codes enhance the care we provide, ensuring accurate, timely care at every step. Since implementing this tool, we’ve already seen positive impacts on our patients and staff.

With the ability to verify prescribed treatments right at the bedside, staff have added assurance that they’re doing the right thing on behalf of their patients, so they can focus on each individual in a more meaningful way and ensure the best experience possible during challenging times.
