Jeremy Carter

Hello, I am Jeremy Carter, born/raised in Alaska, turned global nomad, yet called Virginia/Washington DC home for the years before residency. I studied Neuroscience and Arabic in college and after living in the Middle East, southern Africa, and both rural and urban America, I gained an interest in serving marginalized groups and family medicine in general.

I wanted to find a program where I felt supported, could discover new interests, feel confident moving forward into the workforce, and a fun, close-knit cohort to do that with. I found that here. In addition, from a completely objective view, of course, the Midwest has some of the best desserts (my kryptonite) and nicest people (which I am also a huge fan of).

Though, I must admit that I still proudly carry my Alaska heritage with me and love camping, hiking, cycling, roller-skiing (summer training for cross-country skiing), but am also just as content to set up my hammock or fire up the grill.
