my whole overall experience was great
I had a number of issues to discuss. Dr VdZ and I disagreed on some issues. The discussion became "lively" at times. I had some frustrations but would not characterize my behavior as being upset or combative. You have a protocol to take weigh-in at check-in but no protocol that ensures the accuracy of the weight data you collect. I found this unusual. I'm sure the doctor and nurse staff felt I made to much of an issue about this. I've tried unsuccessfully to get a number of medical professionals to view/read/interpret an X-ray in the past couple of years. I find this frustrating. I think that with Dr VdZ ordering new X-rays, this issue may be addressed. I need a definitive answer to the status of my heart health. Tests have been ordered. I wish I had the confidence that the Dr seems to have(?) that an "echo" will yield as useful data as a "cath". I look forward to our next visit and promise to "play nice with others".

I wish my doctor would鈥檝e paid more attention instead of giving me nausea meds and sending me on my way because I ended up in the emergency room the next night and had to have emergency surgery to remove my appendix I am very unhappy

I didn鈥檛 feel heard. I鈥檝e had (previous doctor) as my primary care physician for over a decade. He鈥檚 walked with me through horrible medical issues. I鈥檓 profoundly disappointed in the way I wasn鈥檛 listened to.

My prior physician at your facility left and Dr Vanderzwaag was assigned to me. She did not listen to what I was saying and I was interrupted and could not explain to her fully my needs. I was confused why she was taking over my other doctor鈥檚 orders and that was never explained to me. Felt I was not treated with respect.
Dr. V was very welcoming. "Background" information about her training, family and other interests was presented in a unique and engaging manner.
