Saint Joseph Health Center was established to provide a source of medical care for members of our community.
Saint Joseph Health Center provides primary medical services, while stressing patient education and preventive healthcare for you and your family.
Insurance & Payment
We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran's Benefits or patients with health insurance. Our focus is on the unemployed or working poor, providing services for those that fall below 150% of the federally designated poverty level.
Our Family Nurse Practitioner, Volunteer Physicians and staff provide primary medical services, while stressing patient education and preventive healthcare for you and your family.

- Treatment for acute injuries or illness
- Chronic disease management
- Screenings
- Free immunizations for those who qualify
- Head Start & school physicals
- Prenatal & obstetrical care
- Drug Assistance Program
- Nutritional & diabetic counseling
- Nurse Case Management
- Social Work Services
- Transportation Assistance
- Dental Clinic for general preventive and restorative care
- Bilingual staff for our Hispanic patients
- Prescriptions Applications for Hoosier Healthwise & Medicare Supplement (QMB) are taken at our facility.
Hours of Operation
The front doors are locked on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from Noon to 1:30 pm to allow staff to finish morning appointments, return patient phone messages and take lunch.

Emergency Care
In the event of a medical emergency after business hours, patients should call the hospital operator at 574-936-3181 and have the family nurse practitioner paged. If it is a serious condition, go to the Emergency Room.
